This is a professional position where effective performance requires a high level of independent judgment and action under minimal
supervision. It is primarily responsible for developing and managing contracts and determining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and policies.
Essential Functions:Establish and maintain positive working relationships with Heartland for Children internal and external customers
Knowledgeable of child welfare and case management
Knowledgeable of mental health, utilization management and DJJ processes
Knowledgeable of Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessments (CBHA), mental health referrals and mental health services
Receive and process CBHA referrals that are submitted by our partners within required time frames.
Periodically review CBHAs for quality and provide feedback to providers when necessary.
Provide connections and support for mental health, substance and behavioral health needs of children and adults
Attend DJJ lockout staffings, coordinate meetings and recommend services for kids to help divert placement in licensed care
Participate in multi-disciplinary staffings to include but not limited to Crossover Youth Staffings, Youth at Risk Staffings, Local Review Team Staffings and other staffings as requested.
Identify trends, good practice and barriers related to these processes and make written recommendations for improvement and/or training opportunities
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree/preferably in a Business or Human Services related field.
Two to three years previous office or client services experience preferred; detailed oriented and able to operate in a fast paced environment with demanding deadlines.
