** Job Summary
** The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision and coordination of the maintenance department functions and programs. Directs and coordinates support services. Training and development of its employees.
** Principal Duties and Responsibilities
*** Assists in interviews and hiring processes
* Orientates and trains maintenance personnel
* Coaches counsel employees, and initiates discipline as required
* Evaluates the performance of subordinates
* Develops and implements preventative and other maintenance programs to ensure proper equipment operation
* Identifies, researches, and resolves problems
* Coordinates maintenance activities with the operating department's requirements
* Leads employees in continuous improvement and safety initiatives
* Performs regular/preventative maintenance on all machinery, tools, and buildings
* Develops, implements, and supervises the plant’s Preventive Maintenance program
* Repairs machinery, equipment, buildings, and other Company assets in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturing specifications, or by management request
* Orders supplies and parts as required, at competitive pricing and rates
* Maintains records of repair/maintenance activities, per Company policy
* Prepares other reports as required
* Performs duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures
* Performs other duties as required
** Qualifications
* ** Post-high school education is required
* Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance area; 1 to 3 years of experience managing people
* Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, and welding
* Working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations
* Demonstrate working knowledge of hazardous wage and hazardous material handling procedures and practices
* Working knowledge of the use of precision tools, measuring instruments, and other hand tools
* Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business software
* Preferred understanding of company policies, practices, and procedures
* Must be at least 18 years of age
