Environmental Engineer Co‑Op/Intern – Summer 2027
Location:
Bartow site, 3200 US Hwy 60 W, Bartow, FL 33830 (travel to other Florida sites as needed). Full‑time co‑op/internship, 36–40hrs per week, 9/80 schedule if applicable. Term:

- Collaborate cross‑functionally to support ESG targets, including permitting projects, legal counsel, and on‑site inspections.
- Manage environmental projects and conduct field work such as groundwater sampling, inspections, and improvement projects.
- Assist in ESG project management, focusing on the net‑zero roadmap modeling.
- Contribute to annual and ad hoc reporting, assess global best practices, and gather data and insights from stakeholders.
- Perform facility environmental testing and sampling according to regulatory and company procedures.
- Provide technical training for ongoing compliance and manage field sampling data using electronic databases.
- Communicate with plant operators, engineers, tradespersons, contractors, and management across the organization.
- Participate in department and project‑specific meetings.
- Adhere to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles, and key competencies.
- Junior level or above by May
2027, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering. - Minimum GPA of 2.75.
- Experience in an industrial chemical and mining environment preferred (1–2years of volunteering or work, previous internship/co‑op experience).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; able to travel to and from sites.
- Capacity to work full‑time while maintaining student standing during the co‑op/internship.
- Basic computer skills and experience working in a team environment.
- Effective verbal communication skills; familiarity with industrial operations desirable.
- Successful completion of post‑offer/pre‑placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, and functional capacity examination.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25lbs; climbing stairs and working at various heights.
- Must be able to distinguish colors, patterns or materials; adequate hearing and vision with or without correction.
- Must be able to use fine hand‑motor skills, operate a respirator if required, and safely perform essential functions without posing a direct threat to self or others.
