The Electro Mechanical Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Bartow, FL. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electromechanical equipment used in cabinetry manufacturing and distribution operations. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing corrective and preventive maintenance, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. The technician will read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, document maintenance activities, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement.
The role also involves adhering to safety standards, participating in equipment upgrades, and assisting with the training of team members on proper equipment use and basic troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated ability in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance to keep production machinery operating reliably.
- Strong skills in Corrective Maintenance and Troubleshooting to diagnose faults and restore equipment to proper working condition.
- Working knowledge of electricity, including basic industrial electrical systems, wiring, and safe work practices.
- Experience with electromechanical systems, such as motors, conveyors, sensors, and control panels, in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to lockout/tagout and other safety procedures.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with production, engineering, and leadership.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electronics, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience as an electro-mechanical, industrial, or maintenance technician in a manufacturing or distribution setting is beneficial.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights as needed to perform maintenance tasks and work in a production environment.
