Position Overview
Global Ecosystem Insights (EI) seeks a Beyond Therapeutic Area (TA) Market Insights Leader to drive cross‑portfolio market research and insights that shape Roche’s Pharma strategy. This internal consultant and strategist partners with commercial and cross‑functional leaders to deliver industry‑leading methodologies, innovative projects, and high‑impact analyses.
OpportunityThe role involves operationalizing primary and secondary research, leading innovative initiatives, embedding enhancements across EI, and navigating a complex global matrix to align cross‑functional partners around insight‑driven deliverables. Reporting to the EI Beyond TA Enabling Leader, the successful candidate will champion data‑driven decision making at portfolio, therapeutic‑area, and enterprise levels.
Focus Areas & Responsibilities- Insights Excellence – Elevate the quality and impact of EI deliverables through advanced research practices, high‑impact methodologies, and tools that drive strategic decisions.
- Future‑Ready Roadmap – Design and execute a multi‑year roadmap to evolve primary market research and secondary insights capabilities, pilot new engines, and scale successful methodologies globally.
- Cross‑Portfolio Insights – Generate strategic insights on multi‑TA themes (e.g., Digital Health, Drug Delivery, next‑generation commercialization models) to unlock business value across the portfolio.
- Upskilling & Training – Define the gold standard for Market Research within EI and deliver a comprehensive curriculum to maintain industry‑leading capabilities.
- Strategic Vendor & Compliance Oversight – Lead partnerships with key strategic vendors, ensuring high‑quality delivery, compliance, and process optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) and at least 10 years of Pharma/Biotech commercial insights experience.
- Mastery of qualitative/quantitative market research techniques, secondary data analysis, and advanced insights generation frameworks.
- Strategic problem‑solving skills, critical thinking, and the ability to translate research into concise, compelling business recommendations.
- Influential collaboration with senior stakeholders, ability to bridge functional and geographic groups, and build strong partnerships.
- Innovation driver with experience piloting innovative solutions, tools, or systems that generate new ideas and best practices.
- Change champion comfortable translating high‑level intent into actionable roadmaps and leading initiatives through uncertainty and resistance.
- Impact scaler with a track record of transformation at departmental, functional, or broader organizational levels.
