Syspro Automation is an engineering company focused on GMP Automation, working globally with offices in Spain, Portugal, Switzerland and the United States.

We are looking for a highly driven and strategically minded Business Developer to accelerate our growth within the European Life Sciences sector, specifically in Switzerland and Ireland.

Main responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in Life Sciences companies.
  • Promote Industrial Automation Engineering, CSV Consulting and Technical Services solutions tailored to GMP environments.
  • Develop commercial strategies to expand Syspro Automation’s presence in Switzerland and Ireland.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to prepare client proposals and customized solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Represent the company at industry meetings, networking events and client visits.

Required skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of proven sales or business development experience within Industrial Automation Engineering, CSV Consulting, or Technical Services directly serving the Pharmaceutical/Biotech sector.
  • Professional with a solid track record in the sector who brings an extensive, well-established network of industry contacts and proven references.
  • Deep familiarity with Life Sciences manufacturing environments, technical terminologies (DCS, PLC, Batch processing), and regulatory frameworks (GMP, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11).
  • Experience with Emerson Delta

    V and/or Siemens PCS7 services is a major plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in an international environment.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) and German.
  • Availability to travel frequently within Switzerland and Ireland.
