Position: Maintenance Technician Bioresources (Electrical)

Salary & Hours

Circa £55,000 (starting salary £47,864 + 15% shift allowance) with opportunity for pay progression.

40.25 hours per week, shift‑based.

Overview

Get ready to make a difference and join us as an Electrician at Anglian Water. You’ll be responsible for carrying out general repairs, investigating and rectifying faults and completing scheduled & reactive maintenance to ensure the reliability of our assets. This role is not just about doing a job; it has a real purpose: protecting our environment and our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out general repairs and rectify faults.
  • Complete scheduled and reactive maintenance.
  • Inspect, maintain and diagnose faults on large pumps, actuated valves, VSDs and 3‑phase electrical switch gear.
  • Work with electrical control panels, motor testing, level control equipment, instrumentation, inverters, gearboxes, screw conveyors and centrifuge equipment.
What does it take to be a bioresources electrician
  • NVQ Level 3 electrical qualification (or equivalent) – e.g., 18th Edition electrical City & Guilds Level 3.
  • Completed a relevant apprenticeship.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Demonstrable experience in inspections, maintenance and fault diagnosis, and competence in repairs to large pumps, actuated valves, VSD and 3‑phase electrical switch gear.
