Lead Solar Electrician​/QS - Remote

Position: Lead Solar Electrician / QS - Remote
We are partnered with one of the fastest growing solar companies in the UK, now recognised as a leading provider of integrated solar tile solutions for the new build market. Established in 2022, they have scaled rapidly and are now looking to strengthening their operational team with a Lead Solar Electrician / Qualified Supervisor.
The company specialises in an advanced integrated solar tile system designed to fit seamlessly into standard roof constructions. Most of the work is on new build domestic developments, with larger commercial projects now entering the pipeline.
You will be responsible for full Solar PV Installations whilst overseeing the full operational output of their solar projects and working alongside and managing subcontract teams of up to 12 installers and roofers on site. There will be scope to also train up new apprentices as well.
The role is a varied so it’s not 100% on the tools. It’s also a hands on position combining technical, operational, and supervisory responsibilities:
 
* 2 days per week carrying out electrical work
 
* 1 day focused on paperwork, compliance, and QS duties
 
* 2 days dedicated to project management and operational oversight
Office days are remote
You will ensure installations are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard while coordinating subcontract teams and supporting the wider operations function.
The business operates both locally and nationwide, with current and upcoming projects in:
Enfield, Guildford, Coventry, Bournemouth, plus additional UK wide sites.
For work requiring travel, the company provides full expenses and overnight accommodation.
Requirements:
 
* Essential Electrical: NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent, e.g., AM2).
 
* Regulations & Testing: 18th Edition (BS7671) and C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
 
* Solar Specific: MCS-accredited training for PV and battery storage systems (e.g., Solar Edge experience).
 
* Qualified Supervisor (QS):
Experience required to act as the NICEIC (or equivalent body) QS to ensure installations meet BS7671 and MCS standards.

* Experience:

Proven history of leading teams in both domestic and commercial solar PV installations.
 
* Licence:
Valid UK driving licence
