£40,000-£50,000 DOE

Hours

07:00-17:00 Monday to Thursday, 16:00 finish Friday (49 hour week)

Interaction Technical has partnered with an expanding family‑owned business operating within the forklift supplier and repair industry on their search for an experienced field service engineer / forklift mechanic to join their growing team. Our client has been established for nearly 50 years and is now at a stage of growth where they are looking to add an engineer to the team.

Package
  • Salary between £40,000‑£50,000 depending on experience
  • Company van & fuel card (limited personal use)

Responsibilities
  • Accurately diagnose faults, service and carry out emergency repairs/breakdowns on forklift and plant machinery.
  • Collaborate with customers surrounding lifting and handling products.
  • Work independently within customer sites and collaborate with colleagues to ensure documentation and the perfect solution is offered.
  • Actively travel to sites and carry out repairs of the equipment and create solutions.
  • Work on engines, batteries, pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential).
  • Electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience (advantageous).
  • Previous experience working in the forklift, plant, HGV and/or agricultural industries (advantageous).
  • Experience working with engines and batteries (advantageous).
  • Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous).
  • Full UK Driver's licence.
