The role:
As an Ecologist, you will be involved in a variety of ecological surveys, habitat assessments and reporting activities. The Ecologist will support planning and development projects by providing technical ecological advice and helping to deliver practical environmental solutions. This Ecologist position offers a mix of field and office-based work, working alongside experienced environmental professionals. The successful Ecologist will also contribute to project delivery, stakeholder engagement and ecological impact assessments.
Requirements:
* Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related subject
* Previous experience within an ecological consultancy or similar environment
* Knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and ecological best practice
* Strong report writing and communication skills
* Experience conducting ecological surveys
* Full UK driving licence
* Full right to work in the UK
* Must live in or within a reasonable commuting distance of the Basingstoke office
* Ability to manage workload effectively and work both independently and within a team
* Membership of a relevant professional body is advantageous
