Role: Electrical Field Service Engineer
Location: Field Based – South of England
Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience
We are seeking an experienced and electrically biased Electrical Field Service Engineer to join our growing team. This is a field-based role covering the South of England, involving installation, commissioning, servicing, and fault‑finding on a range of electrical and control equipment.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment and must be flexible to travel and stay overnight as required to meet business needs.
Responsibilities include:- Installation, commissioning, and servicing of electrical and electro‑mechanical equipment
- Fault finding and repair of three‑phase and single‑phase systems
- Diagnosis and troubleshooting of electrical control equipment
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Mechanical installation work where required, including plastic pipe‑work
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations
- Completing service reports and documentation accurately and promptly
- Providing professional on‑site customer support and technical advice
- Working independently in the field and contributing effectively as part of a wider engineering team
- Proven experience as an Electro‑Mechanical Field Service Engineer (electrically biased)
- Strong knowledge of three‑phase and single‑phase electrical systems
- Experience in electrical installation and fault finding
- Experience working with electrical control equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem‑solving and diagnostic skills
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, 18th Edition, etc.)
