Vehicle Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled vehicle technician to join our team In Basingstoke
Imi/nvq city and guilds or time served experienced light vehicle certification is required, As is a full uk driving licence and your own tools
You must live within 10 miles of Basingstoke
This is a Monday - Friday role 8am - 6pm
1 hour lunch break
or
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm and every other Saturday 8.30 - 5.30pm. 1 hour lunch break
Salary is experience dependent but for the experience we require the salary will be between £40,000 - £45,000 plus bonus. For this salary range we are looking for a technician that is experienced in every aspect of being a Vehicle technician
Overtime is available on Saturdays at additional pay but is not mandatory
As a vehicle technician you will be responsible for conducting vehicle inspections and ensuring that they meet the required safety and environmental standards. This is a vital role in ensuring the safety of vehicles on the road.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect vehicles for any defects or issues that may affect their roadworthiness
- Identify and report any faults or potential problems to customers
- Carry out servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs to all makes and models.

Experience:

- Previous experience as a vehicle technician is essential
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for inspections and repairs
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues or defects
- Good communication skills to interact with customers effectively
