Air Conditioning Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Qualified Air Conditioning Engineer to join an established and growing business, covering commercial sites across Basingstoke and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a long-term, permanent position with a strong package and additional earning potential through the on-call rota.
Air Conditioning Engineer

Role Description   You will be field-based, working predominantly within a 20-mile radius of Basingstoke, carrying out a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance across commercial air conditioning systems.
Responsibilities will include:
Planned preventative maintenance and servicing
Reactive maintenance and fault finding
Working on commercial air conditioning systems
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs
Working on complex VRV/VRF systems
Responding to out-of-hours breakdowns as part of a 1-in-6 on-call rota
Maintaining excellent customer relationships and communication
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
The Package   Up to £47,000 per annum, depending on experience
Full-time, permanent employment
Minimum 40-hour working week
1 week in 6 on-call rota
Out-of-hours breakdowns paid at a minimum of 4 hours
Overtime paid at 1.5x, 2x or 2.5x, depending on the circumstances
Door-to-door travel paid for out-of-hours call-outs
Predominantly local work within approximately 20 miles of Basingstoke

About You  The successful candidate will:
Live locally to Basingstoke
Have a minimum of 2 years' field experience working independently on commercial air conditioning equipment
Have strong experience with VRV/VRF systems
Hold current F-Gas Certification
Hold a minimum Level 2 NVQ Diploma (City & Guilds 6187) or equivalent
Hold a full, clean UK driving licence
Have strong commercial awareness
Have a robust work ethic and excellent communication skills
PASMA and IPAF certification is preferred, although not essential
