Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, student-centered Secondary ELA Teacher to join our dedicated team of educators in providing high-quality instruction in a supportive and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate will hold or be eligible for Louisiana teacher certification and bring energy, creativity, and strong instructional practices to the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and implement engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans

* Promote a classroom culture of high expectations and mutual respect

* Utilize formative and summative assessments to inform instruction

* Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs

* Communicate regularly with students, families, and colleagues

* Participate in school-wide professional development and initiatives

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution

* Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate or eligibility to obtain one through the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE)

* Strong content knowledge in assigned subject area

* Effective classroom management and communication skills

* Commitment to student achievement and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience teaching at the secondary level (grades 9-12)

* Familiarity with Louisiana Student Standards and curriculum frameworks

* Proficiency in educational technology tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Edgenuity, Clever)

* Experience with data-driven instruction and MTSS/RTI practices
