MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHER (Grades 7-8)

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and highly qualified ELA Middle School Teacher to join our instructional team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive classroom environment, deliver engaging lessons aligned with state standards, and support students' academic and personal growth during this pivotal stage of learning.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and deliver standards-based, differentiated instruction

* Create a classroom culture of high expectations, respect, and inclusivity

* Use data to assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

* Collaborate with grade-level and subject-area teams

* Maintain communication with families regarding student performance and behavior

* Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives

Qualifications

* Certification:

Must meet the certification requirements set forth by the Louisiana Department of Education and/or the Louisiana Board of Elementary & Secondary Education at the time of employment. (See Bulletin 746)

* Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Education (K-12, or 4-8) from an accredited college/university or a related field

* Master's degree or advanced coursework in education or in a related discipline is preferred

* Valid Louisiana teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements

* Experience and Skills:

* Knowledge of Tier I Louisiana Curriculum and core academic subjects

* Strong classroom management and instructional skills

* Ability to build strong relationships with middle school learners

* Proficiency in integrating digital tools into teaching and learning

* Completion of one year of student teaching or an approved internship

* Prior successful teaching experience is highly desirable
