Literacy Collaboration Teacher
Delta Elementary School, a Title I school, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Literacy Collaboration Teacher to accelerate student achievement in literacy across grades K–6. This role supports teachers through structured, job-embedded professional learning aligned to High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM), the LDOE High-Quality Professional Learning (HQPL) Cycle, and the Louisiana Professional Learning Roadmap.
The Literacy Collaboration Teacher will serve as an instructional leader, providing coaching, facilitating teacher collaboration, and ensuring rigorous literacy instruction grounded in Louisiana Student Standards.
Job goal:
To accelerate student literacy achievement by leading high-impact teacher collaboration and professional learning aligned to HQIM, the LDOE HQPL Cycle, and the Louisiana Professional Learning Roadmap.

Full-Time, 9-Month Contract (Grant-Funded Position) Salary:
Based on MPSD Teacher Salary Schedule and applicable state guidelines
Reports To:
Curriculum Supervisor, Director of Federal Programs, & Principal Evaluation:
Performance evaluated by the Curriculum Supervisor and/or Principal.

Key responsibilities:
Instructional Leadership & Collaboration
- Facilitate weekly Teacher Collaboration (TC) meetings using LDOE-approved literacy frameworks and protocols
- Lead teacher teams through the HQPL Cycle Ensure protected planning time for teachers Collaborate with administration to embed TC into the master schedule Coaching & Professional Learning
- Provide job-embedded coaching and modeling
- Conduct informal classroom observations and provide feedback
- Develop and monitor professional learning goals
- Participate in LDOE professional development Instructional Support & Curriculum Alignment
- Support HQIM lesson internalization aligned to Louisiana Student Standards
- Focus on foundational literacy, comprehension, vocabulary, and writing
- Promote cross-grade collaboration
- Assist in selecting instructional materials Data & Accountability
- Guide use of assessment data
- Maintain documentation for reporting
- Track coaching and collaboration activities School & Family Engagement
- Support school literacy goals
- Communicate with families when appropriate Additional duties
- Prepare a professional growth plan
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum qualifications:
Valid Louisiana teaching certificate Meets LDOE and BESE certification requirements Knowledge of literacy instruction and assessment Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred qualifications:
PLC or collaboration experience Knowledge of HQIM and HQPL Coaching experience Title I experience preferred
