Licensed Electrician / Licensed Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning Technician

Qualifications

Must be in good physical health and able to lift up to 100 lbs.
Comfortable working in various environmental conditions.
Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions.
Must pass a performance test demonstrating job-related skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a licensed electrician or HVAC technician.
Proven experience in major projects related to the trade.
Strong knowledge of maintenance techniques, materials, and equipment.
Must pass required pre-employment screenings:
Background Check, DCFS CANS, Drug Test

Job Summary

Maintain and repair school buildings and grounds to ensure safe, efficient operations. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical and HVAC systems across district facilities.

General Conditions of Employment

Will be required to work the same number of days as regular twelve month employees, but will have different beginning and ending dates with flexibility for days off.
Will be required to work on Mondays during the four-day work week in order to maximize use of workers while students are not present.
Will be allowed to schedule alternate off days as approved by the immediate Supervisor.
Will be required to work two days per week during Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Years and Spring/Easter breaks as scheduled by the immediate Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

Perform skilled tasks in accordance with state and local codes and the standard practices of the trade.

Accept responsibility for the quality and quantity of work produced.

Promote high standards of safety and good housekeeping methods in work areas.

Perform all types of work assigned by the foreman.

Assist in the preparation of job estimates and recommended purchase of necessary supplies.

Perform other duties as assigned by higher authority
