FACILITIES COORDINATOR, SOLAR CELLS (STARLINK)

At the company, we are building the next generation of space infrastructure to enable large-scale AI data centers in orbit. These orbital AI platforms require massive amounts of reliable, high-efficiency solar power to support intensive computing workloads in space. To make this possible, we are standing up one of the largest solar cell manufacturing facilities in the world.

We are seeking a Facilities Coordinator to deliver critical administrative and operational support, ensuring facilities run efficiently through the coordination of work orders, space planning, vendor management, and purchasing support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the facilities and construction managers with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and scope control for maintenance, repairs, and facility projects
  • Assign, coordinate, and track work orders in WARP; create and update RFPOs and work orders in ERP systems; provide asset management input into the system
  • Manage and negotiate service contracts (janitorial, landscaping, pest control, waste, etc.); partner with Purchasing on RFPs, vendor selection, and cost control
  • Coordinate vendor/contractor schedules, job walk-downs, and logistics to minimize operational impact
  • Maintain supplies, equipment, furniture, and inventory space
  • Process purchase orders and manage seating charts, audits, and office outfitting with facility space planning
  • Support contractor badging, ITAR/NDA requirements, safety training, facilities signage, and specialty shipping/receiving
  • Prepare reports, coordinate inter-departmental meetings, maintain administrative policies, and provide daily administrative support
  • Ensure vendors meet the company quality and timeline standards while driving continuous improvement and supporting emergency response
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 2+ years of customer service, facilities coordination, vendor/contract management, or facilities maintenance experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate’s degree or higher in a related field (architecture, engineering, project management, or construction management preferred)
  • 3+ years of facilities or project/program management experience
  • FMP, PMP, or similar certification
  • Working knowledge of WARP/ERP systems and ability to read basic floor plans
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with strong safety awareness
  • Exceptional organization, problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proven ability to multi-task, stay organized, and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift to 40 lbs. infrequently
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and in outdoor environments (heat, cold, rain, fumes, noise) as required
