Description/Notes: The MTSS Coach will provide job embedded professional development and procedural support in the areas of classroom management, Response to Intervention, Social-Emotional Learning, and Restorative Practices. The MTSS Coach will be responsible for developing, leading, implementing, monitoring, and collaborating with other educators in the school-wide integration of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support in addition to communicating with parents and working on campus committees.
Basic function and responsibility:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, physical, and social/emotional growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS) for assigned area.
- Knowledge of curriculum design, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of effective instruction and evaluation.
- Skill in using technology as a learning tool in all content.
- Skill in engaging others in collective inquiry and problem solving.
- Skill in collecting, analyzing, and using data to support student learning.
- Skill in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practice.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Knowledge of the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support framework and its implementation.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and valid Texas Teacher Certificate with required endorsements and a minimum of three years of classroom teaching experience. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Salary Range: $57,598 to $69,772 Per Year
