Electrical Engineer – Generation & Utility Systems

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead electrical engineering efforts for power generation facilities, including system design, upgrades, and expansions.
• Design, specify, and manage medium- and high-voltage electrical distribution systems.
• Serve as a technical lead for utility-scale electrical infrastructure projects from concept through commissioning.
• Develop and review electrical one-lines, schematics, load studies, and protection schemes.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, utilities, contractors, and regulatory entities to ensure successful project execution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Provide technical oversight during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, redundancy, and scalability to support long-term growth.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering with a focus on power generation and utility systems.
• Proven experience designing and managing medium- and high-voltage electrical distribution systems.
• Strong understanding of power generation facilities, utility interconnections, and electrical infrastructure.
• Ability to lead projects and provide technical direction to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or mission-critical facilities.
• Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and utility interconnection requirements.
• Experience with commissioning, system start-up, or operational support.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure.

Pay And Benefits: The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00 / hr.
