Electrical Engineer – Generation & Utility Systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical engineering efforts for power generation facilities, including system design, upgrades, and expansions.
- Design, specify, and manage medium- and high-voltage electrical distribution systems.
- Serve as a technical lead for utility-scale electrical infrastructure projects from concept through commissioning.
- Develop and review electrical one-lines, schematics, load studies, and protection schemes.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, utilities, contractors, and regulatory entities to ensure successful project execution.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and safety requirements.
- Provide technical oversight during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, redundancy, and scalability to support long-term growth.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering with a focus on power generation and utility systems.
- Proven experience designing and managing medium- and high-voltage electrical distribution systems.
- Strong understanding of power generation facilities, utility interconnections, and electrical infrastructure.
- Ability to lead projects and provide technical direction to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or mission-critical facilities.
- Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and utility interconnection requirements.
- Experience with commissioning, system start-up, or operational support.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bastrop, TX. The position is anticipated to close on Feb 24, 2026.
Pay And Benefits: The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00 / hr.
