The Senior Building Operations Technology Analyst position will oversee the operation and maintenance of the Bastrop Building Automation System, incorporating supervisory controls, network engines, equipment controllers, multiple communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, MSTP, N2), instrumentation and controls supporting HVAC, mechanical, lighting and electrical equipment, real-time process and data monitoring, and data collection/analysis for equipment supporting research and building operations throughout multiple commercial buildings on campus.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience supporting the APOGEE, Desigo CC, Niagara, or Johnson Controls Metasys systems.
The typical work schedule is Monday‑Friday, 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., onsite.
Salary range: $88,000 – $110,000 – $132,000.

Programming, trending, scheduling, customer meetings and on‑call: formulate and define scope and objectives based upon customer needs; participate in analysis of system and user requirements related to IT, database modifications, trending and scheduling; plan and implement future BAS and operations technology infrastructure changes; prepare information for customer meetings, monthly reports and presentations.
CMMS, BAS system upgrades, database and application support: develop expertise in building automation and operations technology applications; assist in system and firmware upgrades; maintain data integrity, data conversion and quality control of databases; prioritize and schedule assignments for staff and users.
Energy conservation, business development and training: develop and enforce system standards to comply with governmental regulations and institutional policies; coordinate workflow between facilities, contractors and BAS personnel; develop business processes that leverage IT for building automation efficiency; conduct in‑service training and support for facilities personnel; serve as subject matter expert.
Project support, reviews and commissioning: conduct BAS project reviews; provide in‑depth assessments of infrastructure projects; support controller upgrade and programming projects; revise system documentation and oversee commissioning of infrastructure enhancements; other duties as assigned.
The primary purpose of the Sr. BAS Analyst position is to define the building automation system and operations technology scope and architecture based upon user needs, including programming and development of control systems and data management for strategic building automation, energy management and infrastructure initiatives.
EducationRequired:
Associate’s degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or other related technical field.
Required:
Four years’ experience in building operations technologies and programming. An associate’s degree may be substituted with additional years of equivalent experience on a one‑to‑one basis.
