Welder / MIG/MAG/TIG, Fabrication
Support the fabrication, assembly, repair, and modification of large-scale structures and equipment. Daily responsibilities include reading blueprints and weld symbols, setting up welding equipment, completing welds in various positions, operating general shop equipment, and inspecting completed work to ensure it meets drawing specifications. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, takes pride in producing high-quality welds, and can work safely and efficiently on a night shift schedule.
Responsibilities- Perform welding, assembly, and fabrication on large-scale structures and assemblies.
- Perform MIG (GMAW) welding
. - Communicate effectively with management, supervisors, and engineering staff.
- Modify, repair, assemble, and install large-scale equipment and components.
- Inspect completed work after each operation to ensure it meets drawing specifications.
- Operate general shop equipment, including forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts.
- Set up and maintain welding equipment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and weld symbols.
- Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Ability to weld in all positions and successfully pass an FCAW weld test.
- Experience with MIG (GMAW) welding
. - Proficiency with power tools, including drills, saws, and pneumatic die grinders.
- Basic rigging skills.
- OSHA certification.
- Welding certifications.
- Experience with GMAW, GTAW, stainless steel, and hardfacing.
- Familiarity with various metal types and material thicknesses.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and/or at elevated heights.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Ability to work outdoors in heavy construction areas.
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
- Night Shift: Monday–Thursday or Tuesday-Friday or Wednesday
-Saturday or Thursday
-Sunday - Hours: 6:00 PM – 4:40 AM
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Includes a 30-minute unpaid meal break
