Day Position Summary The Residential Treatment Facility Registered Nurse (RN) functions independently utilizing the nursing process and is responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, evaluating and delegating nursing functions across the lifespan. The RN collaborates with residents, resident families/significant others, Physicians/Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), resident care staff, leadership and community partners. Responsibilities
  • Utilizes the nursing process as a systematic problem-solving approach to nursing care, facilitating an optimal level of functioning and health for the residents.
  • Independently triages residents in-person, via telephone and secure messages, utilizing protocols, guidelines, and standards.
  • Uses critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding resident care, which includes knowledge and integration of relevant standards, resources, and data.
  • Uses assessment and analysis skills in delivering medical regimens as directed by physicians and APPs.
  • Delegates selected resident care functions to others in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
  • Collaborates with the clinic team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, resident experience and stewardship.
  • Fosters a learning environment for residents, families, and all members of the health care team.
  • Advocates for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of residents from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire.
  • RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement lieu of education agreement.
  • Registered Nurse license (RN) in Washington State or multi-state licensure endorsement (MSL).
  • Active BLS required prior to starting patient care.
  • Two (2) years of experience as an RN - in an acute care setting preferred.
  • One year of behavioral health experience preferred.
  • Proof of a safe driving record (which meets established Multi Care Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state.
  • Food handlers within first 90-days.
  • NPI number obtained upon hire.
