Experienced Dog Groomer Wanted – Immediate Opportunity

Bastrop Veterinary Hospital is actively seeking an experienced Pet Groomer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled groomer with an existing skillset who is ready to step into a busy, established client base and earn competitive commission-based income.

Important:
Candidates must have prior professional dog grooming experience
. We do not offer training for this position. You must have their own tools (scissors, clippers, and blower) We will provide a bathtub, soap, grooming table.

This is a part-time position
, with a schedule of 2–3 days per week, Wednesday through Friday
.

Here is What Your Day May consist of:

Perform full-service grooming: bathing, brushing, clipping, nail trims, and styling
Evaluate coat and skin condition and recommend appropriate services
Safely handle and restrain pets to ensure a stress-free experience
Maintain a clean, organized grooming workspace
Communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming needs and preferences
Keep accurate grooming records and client notes
Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure pet health and safety

Here is What You May Bring to the Position:

Proven professional grooming experience (REQUIRED)
Your own grooming tools (clippers, scissors, brushes, blower, etc.)
High-quality, compassionate grooming services
Reliability, professionalism, and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and manage your schedule

Prior experience as a dog groomer (required)
Strong animal handling and restraint skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to lift and handle dogs of all sizes
Experience with cats is a plus
