The Electrician is responsible for performing electrical work in control cabinets, panel boards, and related equipment; wiring and rewiring of electrical cabinets; running conduit; writing programs; and installing PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).

• Install electrical hardware or software, and wire electrical components in accordance with state and local codes.
• Perform electrical start‑ups of new, used, or modified equipment and generate or modify operating instructions as needed.
• Aid in layout design and troubleshooting of electrical components in construction projects.
• Perform calibrations on electrical components when required.
• Program and install PLCs, and draw ladder logic diagrams to match.
• Maintain clean work areas daily, storing all wire, conduit, raceways, and tools properly.
• Handle company‑issued tools and ensure they are cleaned and stored when not in use.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2‑3 years of ladder logic programming of PLCs.
• Prior electrical background required.

• Journeyman’s license preferred.
• Good working knowledge of PLCs and programming.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent work ethic and positive attitude.

Work may involve exposure to noise, odors, heat, cold, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical hazards, and the use of potentially dangerous equipment. Duties may require traveling to off‑site locations, handling heavy objects (up to 100 pounds), and performing repetitive tasks such as walking, standing, stooping, and operating machinery. Workers must be able to sit, walk, use hands for detailed tasks, climb ladders, communicate effectively, and meet the physical requirements listed above.

No special vision requirements. Workers must have clear vision at 20 inches or less, good distance vision (20 feet or more), color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
