Position Summary:
Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians. As a maintenance technician, you will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance duties for all commercial equipment supporting our Walmart stores. You will develop preventive maintenance schedules, complete assigned PMs on time, and conduct training for Store Associates on equipment care and cleaning.
- Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
- Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
- Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules by completing and providing required written and electronic information (e.g., expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs).
- Have previous experience in maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment, etc.).
- Understand the importance of customer service and communicate clearly, transparently, and respectfully.
- Drive personal accountability and use effective time management to achieve commitments.
- Adapt to changing and competing demands using solid judgment to identify priorities.
- Believe in servant leadership and work as a team to achieve goals.
- 3 years’ experience in maintenance.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license with at least 3 years of a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Vocational or technical certification or 3 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
- 5 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical trade program.
- License in related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
- Intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
