Position: (2942) Crisis Clinician, Mobile Crisis Outreach Team, RP

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Center Director or Crisis Supervisor, the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) Case Worker is a member of the Bastrop County Crisis Team. The MCOT Case Worker provides services in-person and via tele‑video in Bastrop, Fayette, and Lee Counties, dispatching to community locations such as schools, emergency rooms, homes, and BTCS clinics.

The case worker delivers crisis intervention, screening, referral, relapse prevention, and follow‑up services. Follow‑up may include case management, individual and group skill training, person‑centered recovery planning, supported housing/employment, and discharge planning.

Additionally, the MCOT Case Worker will provide crisis triage and intervention services as needed.

This position collaborates with law enforcement, medical personnel, schools, families, and social service agencies to assist persons in crisis.

The MCOT Case Worker must possess strong knowledge of mental health, substance use, and developmental crisis principles, and must be able to communicate effectively with individuals and families from diverse cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. Experience with integrated computer database programs and the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments are required.

This is a PRN position.

Hourly Salary Range

$32.23 – $39.48 per hour

Applicable Differentials
  • +0.50/hour – LCDC licensure
  • +1.00/hour – Tenure with BTCS Advanced Licensure; +0.75/hour – Bilingual
  • +1.00/hour – LPC‑A/LCSW‑A
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mental health diagnoses.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team within a fast‑paced, recovery‑focused environment.
  • Minimum of two years of case management experience.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license.
  • If degree is not in a human services field, a minimum of 24 college credits in a human services field are required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree.
  • Currently pursuing clinical licensure in counseling, social work, or a related field.
  • Bilingual in ASL or Spanish.
  • Experience in concurrent documentation.
