Business Development Executive / Manager
Tunas Group is seeking a Business Development Executive / Manager (Mandarin Speaker) to drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding the company's customer and investor network. The successful candidate will work closely with Chinese and local clients, investors, and business partners, making fluent Mandarin communication (speaking, reading, and writing) essential. This role will support the growth of Tunas Group's industrial estate, property, and infrastructure businesses.
Responsibilities- Identify and develop new business opportunities to achieve company growth targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, investors, tenants, and strategic partners.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend analysis.
- Develop business strategies to increase occupancy, investment, and revenue.
- Prepare business proposals, presentations, and commercial offers.
- Conduct business meetings, negotiations, and presentations with local and Chinese clients.
- Translate and interpret business discussions, contracts, and correspondence in Mandarin and Bahasa Indonesia when required.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Legal, Engineering, Project, Finance, and Operations teams to support business development activities.
- Prepare feasibility studies and business case analyses for new projects.
- Negotiate commercial terms, lease agreements, and strategic partnerships.
- Attend exhibitions, networking events, and business forums to promote the company's services.
- Prepare regular business development reports, sales pipeline updates, and market intelligence reports.
- Develop and implement long-term business development strategies.
- Lead and mentor the Business Development team.
- Manage key accounts and major strategic partnerships.
- Establish annual sales targets, KPIs, and business expansion plans.
- Report directly to senior management on business performance and growth opportunities.
- Lead negotiations for major commercial agreements and investment projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, International Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Fluent in Mandarin (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is Mandatory.
- Strong business acumen, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Willing to travel for business meetings and events.
- Willing to be based in Batam.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, or Corporate Relations.
- Experience working with Chinese clients or multinational companies is preferred.
- Able to communicate effectively in Mandarin for business discussions and document review.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Business Development, Sales Management, Corporate Strategy, or Commercial Management.
- Minimum 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record of achieving business growth and managing strategic partnerships.
- Experience negotiating high-value commercial contracts and investment projects.
- HSK Level 4 or above is an advantage.
- Experience in industrial estates, manufacturing, logistics, property development, infrastructure, or B2B industries.
- Familiar with investment promotion, commercial leasing, and project development.
- Experience working with Chinese investors or multinational corporations.
- Knowledge of CRM systems such as Salesforce, Zoho CRM, or Hub Spot is a plus.
