This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based at a Radisson hotel in Batam. The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and developing strong relationships with corporate, leisure, and MICE clients. Day-to-day activities include conducting sales calls and visits, preparing proposals and contracts, negotiating rates and packages, and monitoring market trends and competitor activity.
The role collaborates closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations teams to develop and execute sales strategies, optimize room and event revenue, and ensure seamless delivery of guest and client expectations. The Sales Manager is also expected to maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts, and CRM data, while representing the hotel at local networking events, trade shows, and familiarization trips.
- Proven experience in hotel or hospitality sales, with a strong track record in corporate, leisure, or MICE segments.
- Strong account management skills, including client relationship building, negotiation, and contract management.
- Ability to develop and implement sales strategies and action plans aligned with revenue and market share goals.
- Competence in using sales and CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and basic data analysis for forecasting and reporting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; additional regional languages are an advantage.
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple accounts and projects.
- Knowledge of local Batam market conditions and wider hospitality industry trends preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and maintain a customer‑focused, results‑driven mindset.
