Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is hiring full‑time Automotive Mechanics in the Geneva, IL area.

Automotive Mechanics inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles, including undercar repairs (brakes, struts, shocks), state‑mandated inspections, oil and filter changes, fluid checks, replacing worn parts, and tire dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing.

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services.
• Perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks.
• Complete state‑mandated inspections.
• Change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts.
• Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and automotive repair.
• Regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.

• Minimum 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• At least 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Extensive toolbox of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs.
• Preferred: state inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).
