Overview
The expected hiring range for this position is: $23.39-$28.52.

Under direct supervision, performs a variety of routine to moderately complex test technician duties. Calibrates, troubleshoots, and operates state-of-the-art instrumentation and equipment to measure a wide range of properties in materials or the environment.
Responsibilities- Calibrates, troubleshoots, and operates state-of-the-art survey equipment in day-to-day survey operations, including spatial analyzers to operate laser trackers.
- Performs data analysis of acquired field data and composes survey reports and documentation for scientific and engineering staff.
- Conducts routine inspection and testing to ensure conformance to established calibration standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Abides by and is responsible for performing all duties in accordance with environmental, health and safety regulations and practices pertinent to this position.
HS degree (or technical certificate or equivalent) plus 3+ years of survey/metrology experience or 1+ years of metrology experience at a DOE laboratory.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment of scientists and survey professionals.
- Excellent oral communication skills, including demonstrated ability to write clear and concise technical documentation.
- May be required to legally operate a government vehicle.
