Junior Buyer
LHH is looking for Junior Buyer to join our client's team. The Buyer is responsible for procuring materials, components, and services needed to support business operations while ensuring continuity of supply, inventory availability, and on-time delivery. This role works closely with suppliers and internal departments to manage purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules, resolve supply issues, and maintain accurate ERP system data.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process purchase requisitions in accordance with approved demand and purchasing policies.
- Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders within the ERP system.
- Manage supplier communications and obtain order confirmations.
- Maintain accurate delivery dates and update ERP records based on supplier commitments.
- Monitor open purchase orders and proactively follow up on upcoming deliveries.
- Expedite orders when necessary to support production schedules and customer requirements.
- Identify and communicate potential supply disruptions, shortages, and delivery risks.
- Resolve supplier issues involving delivery delays, quantity discrepancies, quality concerns, and pricing variances.
- Process non-ERP purchase orders while ensuring proper documentation and traceability.
- Collaborate with Planning, Production, Warehouse, Receiving, and Logistics teams to support operational goals.
- Maintain purchasing records and documentation for compliance, reporting, and audit purposes.
- Support inventory accuracy through coordination with Receiving and inventory teams.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on procurement efficiency and supplier performance.
- Assist with supplier compliance activities, including country-of-origin documentation and related reporting.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of sourcing strategies, supplier management, lead times, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Knowledge of inventory management and material planning concepts.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and purchase order processing.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Pay/Benefits
- $50,000 - $60,000 depending on experience

Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, where required by law; any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law; and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria.
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
