Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager DS Containers – Batavia, IL

DS Containers is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead safety, environmental and compliance initiatives across our two Batavia manufacturing facilities. This position plays a critical leadership role in maintaining regulatory compliance, strengthening our safety culture, reducing risk, and ensuring all employees return home safely every day.

• Lead and continuously improve environmental, health and safety programs across two manufacturing facilities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, workers' compensation, and other applicable regulations.
• Conduct safety observations, coaching, investigations, audits, and risk assessments.
• Manage injury reporting, workers' compensation claims, return-to-work activities, and incident investigations.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs.
• Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Leadership teams.
• Maintain EHS documentation, records, policies, procedures, and compliance programs.
• Support customer, internal, and third-party audits.
• Supervise and develop EHS personnel.
  
  Drive a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous leadership experience with direct reports.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation, incident investigations, and safety management systems.
• Experience developing and implementing EHS programs and training.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to spend significant time on the production floor and walk multiple facilities daily.

• Competitive salary: $125,000 - $150,000
