Role Overview:
Unpack Your Potential Join Amcor as a Press Operator where you will lead all press line operations, including changeovers, start-up, running, and shut-down, while prioritizing safety and compliance with specifications.
Schedule:
Shift: 12-hour shifts (7 PM – 7AM) on a 4-3 Rotation

Job Description:
Possibility Unpacked What you'll do:
- Lead in all aspects of operation of Press lines including changeovers, machine start-up, running and shut-down.
- Support operations in becoming World Class in all aspects of the business, beginning with Safety.
- Run all jobs in accordance with customer specification, manufacturing specification, print specification, color folders and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure all appropriate paperwork is filled out accurately and completely. This includes, but is not limited to; production reports, job verification sheets, ink usage sheets, QA reports, roll tickets (all flags are recorded), S.O.C sheets and all others as assigned.
- Work with and direct the press assistant and pit crew to minimize job change-over and down time.
- Train and direct the press assistant to become efficient at all the required assistant duties defined in each level of the assistant training matrix on time.
- Comply with all 5S and WCM initiatives (Cross Training, moving to the work)
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Preferred qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Knowledgeable and able to understand a computer and programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Required to have visual acuity to perform visual inspection including the use of measurement devices and ability to identify and distinguish colors
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with others in a team environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50–60 lbs
- Willing and able to stand and walk for 8–12 hour shifts
- Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting
- Frequent use of wrists and hands
- Frequent stepping up and down from platforms
