Maintenance Supervisor
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires and trains new staff.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Maintains employee time for payroll purposes, in accordance with Accounting and Human Resources policies.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Demonstrates the behaviors of punctuality, regular attendance, professionalism towards supervisors and co-workers, and self-directed task completion.
- Maintains clean work area.
- Must comply with all departmental SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), company GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), Employee Handbook Policies, including attendance, and all safety rules and standards.
- Works normal shift hours and overtime as required.
- Coordinates efforts as part of the team to provide assistance to all co-workers in all departments to maximize production efficiencies as needed.
- Supervises and leads all maintenance processes and operations.
- Tracks expenses and oversees the budget for Maintenance.
- Creates and implements maintenance procedures.
- Plans and manages all repair and installation activities.
- Assigns repair schedules and evaluates repair cost estimates.
- Documents and prepares daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
- Oversees equipment stock and places orders for new supplies when necessary.
- Performs routine maintenance in accordance with schedules determined by supervisor.
- Acquires and maintains a full complement of personal tools necessary to perform general repair and service work.
- Provides technical assistance to plant supervisory personnel related to employee orientation and training and/or training activities.
- Immediately responds to every breakdown to ensure machinery is up and running.
- Must be proactive, detect minor problems, and correct them before they become major problems.
Job Summary:
Installs, repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties. Responsible for managing the Maintenance department, planning repair activities and developing maintenance procedures.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, dust, chemicals, and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.
A.) from four-year College or university; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch and talk or hear.
- Frequently lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds and push/pull up to 125 pounds.
- Requires constant movement and bending. Locates areas in need of repair, determines necessary repairs and performs work as appropriate or reports of problem to supervisor.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
