Position:
Quality Technician I

Location:

Batavia, ILShift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Flexibility to work off-shift hours as needed

Pay Rate: $24.24/hour Summary Description The Quality Technician I supports the facility’s Quality department by helping ensure products, processes, and documentation meet established quality standards and customer requirements. This position performs testing, conducts audits, reviews samples for release, supports quality investigations, and maintains accurate quality data.

The Quality Technician I also works closely with Production and other plant teams to identify quality concerns, support corrective actions, train employees on quality systems, and promote continuous improvement throughout the facility.

What You’ll Be Doing Complete customer Certificates of Analysis (COAs), including all required offline testing.

Lead daily quality audits throughout the manufacturing process.

Perform assigned layered audits as directed by the management team.

Review and approve Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) samples for release.

Review and approve customer LSDs in accordance with established requirements.

Lead internal sorting initiatives when required.

Collect internal reject data and identify trends for further analysis.

Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions related to customer complaints.

Help identify quality concerns and support appropriate corrective actions.

Train plant personnel on established quality systems, procedures, and expectations.

Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.

Communicate quality concerns and findings to appropriate team members.

Participate as an active member of the Quality Pillar team.

Participate as an active member of the Safety team.

Support continuous improvement activities related to product and process quality.

Perform additional quality-related responsibilities as assigned by management.

We’d Love to Hear From You IfYou have a high school diploma or GED (preferred).You are proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Bilingual communication skills are a plus.

You are flexible and available to work off-shift hours when needed to support quality operations.

You have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

You have basic computer proficiency, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

You have a foundational understanding of arithmetic and statistics.

You have exceptional attention to detail and consistently perform work with a high level of accuracy.

You can effectively communicate quality expectations and work collaboratively with employees across the facility.
