Inventory Control Clerk
Starting Pay: $18-22 based on experience.
Hours: 7am-330pm Monday-Friday
Overtime: As needed
Responsibilities:
The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for entering all inventory into the computer system along with the price and quantity on-hand. This role is also responsible for pulling inventory for approved jobs prior to purchasing.
Job Description:
- Bar codes parts for inventory
- Oversees that all parts and inventory is being received and entered the computer system correctly
- Oversees that all regular and surplus electronic and hydraulics parts are put into inventory in a neat and efficient manner and ensures that the inventory areas are clean and organized.
- Verifies hydraulic surplus model numbers and tags units with model number and cost
- Add and remove all surplus inventory as being received or removed
- Shrink wraps inventory as necessary
- Understands how to check-in incoming parts and distribute them to the technicians
- Pulls jobs and delivers to technicians as needed
- Runs surplus/jobs back and forth between buildings
- Shelves and scans jobs into storage locations
- Maintains that 1211 location and the backroom are kept neat, clean, and organized
- Identifies surplus parts as to good/bad
- Identifies surplus part numbers
- Assist Inventory Manager with purchases, sales and maintaining store and backroom
- Possesses strong organizational skills
- Demonstrates attention to details
- Ability to carry out multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced shop environment
- Ability to use computers and computer systems to enter data and to process information
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of buying and selling on eBay
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate with co-workers, management, vendors, suppliers, and others in a courteous and professional manner
- Regularly required to stand, sit, bend and lift up to 50 pounds
- Experience with forklift or hilo is preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years experience in related role
