Registered Nurse – ICU

ICU Nurse

Provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting, supporting stabilization and recovery through advanced clinical skills and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, including ventilated and post-operative individuals.
• Manage advanced procedures such as central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, and intubations.
• Administer and titrate IV medications, drips, and vasopressors following protocols.
• Interpret diagnostic data including 12-lead EKGs, arterial blood gases, and dysrhythmias.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement comprehensive care plans.
• Ensure infection prevention, PPE compliance, and proper use of ICU equipment.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY State Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, including neuro, medical, or surgical intensive care units.
• Proficient in ICU protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation, and ventilator management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multisystem organ failure and complex patient needs.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with EPIC charting and critical care procedures.
