Ashley The Wellsville Group is seeking an In-Home Furniture Repair Technician to join our Technical & Maintenance team. In this field-based role, you'll travel to customers' homes across your service area to diagnose and repair wood, upholstery, leather, and motion furniture issues. Using your mechanical aptitude and craftsmanship, you'll complete structural, cosmetic, and mechanical repairs, assemble or adjust furniture, and ensure first-visit resolution whenever possible.
You'll document work in our service systems, communicate clearly with customers, and collaborate with store, warehouse, and customer care teams. Responsibilities
- Travel to customers' homes to diagnose and repair wood, upholstery, leather, and motion furniture issues
- Perform on-site structural, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs using hand and power tools
- Document findings, parts used, and completed work in service software with accurate notes and photos
- Communicate professionally with customers to explain repair options and care instructions
- Coordinate with customer care and warehouse teams to order parts and schedule follow-up visits
- Lift, move, and assemble furniture safely while following company safety standards
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in clean, organized, and working condition
- Follow company policies and quality standards to ensure first-visit resolution whenever possible
- Support continuous improvement by sharing field feedback on product issues and trends
- Represent Ashley The Wellsville Group brand and culture with integrity and accountability in every home visit
