Student Ministry Position
Compass Church in Batesville, Arkansas, is looking for a Student Minister to lead and disciple our Junior High and Senior High students.
We are looking for someone who genuinely loves Jesus, loves students, and believes in the ministry of the local church. Our desire isn’t simply to find someone who can run a youth program. We want someone who will build relationships, teach God’s Word, develop leaders, partner with parents, and help students become followers of Jesus.
This is a full-time ministry position, primarily responsible for students in Junior High through Senior High. While student ministry will be the primary focus, we are open to shaping other responsibilities around the gifts, experience, and strengths of the person being considered.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a growing relationship with Jesus and a life that reflects the character expected of a ministry leader.
- Is committed to the authority of Scripture and can faithfully teach God’s Word to students.
- Has the ability to connect with Junior High and Senior High students.
- Understands that successful student ministry is ultimately about discipleship.
- Will intentionally invest in students beyond weekly gatherings.
- Values parents and sees them as essential partners in the discipleship of their children.
- Can recruit, equip, encourage, and lead a team of adult volunteers.
- Can develop student leaders and give students opportunities to serve.
- Can plan and lead weekly ministry, retreats, camps, mission opportunities, and other events.
- Works well with pastors/elders, staff, parents, and volunteers.
- Wants to be part of the life and mission of the entire church, not just oversee a separate youth program.

Salary Range: $45,000–$65,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and final responsibilities
