Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Solution Architect with deep expertise in Retail (Commerce), Finance & Operations, and Supply Chain Management (SCM) to lead the end‑to‑end architecture, design, and delivery of retail transformation programs.
The Solution Architect will be responsible for translating business strategy and retail operating models into scalable, secure, and resilient Dynamics 365 solutions
, covering store operations, omnichannel commerce, finance, inventory, warehousing, and integrations

- Own the end‑to‑end solution architecture
for Microsoft Dynamics 365 across: - Retail / Commerce (POS(Optional), Store Operations, Omnichannel)
- Finance & Operations (GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash & Bank, Budgeting)
- Supply Chain Management (Procurement, Inventory, WMS, Planning, Logistics)
- Define target architecture
, solution blueprints, and design principles aligned to Microsoft best practices and enterprise standards - Lead fit‑to‑standard vs customization decisions
, ensuring long‑term scalability and upgradeability - Design multi‑company, multi‑country retail solutions
, including tax, currency, intercompany, and regulatory requirements - Design and govern Dynamics 365 Commerce architecture
, including: - Store Commerce / POS
- E‑commerce and omnichannel flows
- Architect resilient store solutions for intermittent connectivity, offline scenarios, and store‑to‑HQ synchronization
- Enable omnichannel retail scenarios such as BOPIS, BORIS, BOSS, returns/exchanges, and promotions
- Address complex retail areas such as pricing, promotions, loyalty, tenders, and real‑time inventory visibility
Finance Architecture
- Lead Chart of Accounts (COA) and Financial Dimensions design for retail and FMCG organizations
- Define posting logic, accounting structures, and financial controls across retail and supply chain processes
- Design solutions for:
- Consolidation and eliminations
- Budget planning and budget controls
- Cash & bank management and reconciliation
- Fixed assets and lease accounting (where applicable)
- Ensure auditability, compliance, and segregation of duties (SoD)
Supply Chain & SCM Architecture
- Inventory and warehouse management
- Transfers and logistics
- Design inventory models (tracking dimensions, valuation, FIFO/weighted average)
- Address negative inventory
, stock accuracy, and reconciliation challenges - Integrate third‑party systems (WMS, 3PL, TMS, planning tools) where required
- Define enterprise‑grade integration architecture using:
- OData, Data Entities, APIs
- Batch and near‑real‑time integration patterns
- Middleware / Azure Integration Services (where applicable)
- Design high‑volume POS and retail transaction integrations (Optional)
- Lead data migration strategy
, including data cleansing, rehearsal cycles, reconciliation, and cutover - Ensure data consistency across Commerce, Finance, SCM, and downstream reporting platforms
Delivery Governance & Dev Ops
- Act as Design Authority across functional and technical teams
- Guide teams on extensions‑based development
, avoiding over‑layering - Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS)
- Azure Dev Ops (branching, pipelines, releases)
- Oversee environment strategy (DEV, TEST, UAT, PROD) and deployment governance
- Support testing strategy, cutover planning, and hypercare stabilization
Stakeholder & Program Leadership
- Partner with business leaders to align solution design with retail operating models
- Facilitate architecture workshops and design reviews with senior stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
Core Experience
- 10+ years of ERP experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX / Dynamics 365
- 5+ years in a Solution Architect / Lead Architect role
- Hands‑on experience with:
- Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
- Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management
- Dynamics 365 Commerce / Retail
Functional & Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of retail business processes (stores, POS, pricing, promotions, inventory)
- Deep knowledge of finance processes and accounting principles
- Strong SCM knowledge including warehousing, replenishment, and logistics
- Experience with multi‑country / multi‑legal‑entity deployments
- Solid understanding of integration patterns, data migration, and performance considerations
Tools & Platforms
- Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS)
- Azure Dev Ops (repos, pipelines, releases)
- Reporting & analytics platforms (Financial Reporting, Power BI – preferred)
