The Procurement Manager will oversee the end-to-end supply chain process for direct chemicals (excluding biodiesel feed stocks) and indirect materials, combining strategic procurement with efficient interaction of plant personnel. This role is responsible for sourcing ~$130M in high-quality materials (both chemicals and indirects), supplies, and energy, negotiating cost-effective supplier contracts. The ideal candidate ensures that materials arrive on time, within budget, and in full compliance with industry standards to support our ongoing business growth.

• Procurement Strategy:
  Design and execute comprehensive purchasing strategies to secure raw materials, goods, or services at competitive market rates.
• Vendor Management:
  Source, evaluate, and build long-term relationships with global and domestic suppliers using objective performance scorecards.
• Contract Negotiation:
  Lead complex contract negotiations regarding pricing, credit terms, lead times, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Inventory:
  Monitor warehouse stock levels using ERP/MRP systems to optimize inventory balances with plant personnel.
• Cost Optimization:
  Analyze supply chain data and financial metrics to identify bottleneck exceptions and implement transportation cost-saving initiatives.
• Team Leadership:
  Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of purchasing technologists.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, or logistics management.
• Technical Savvy:
  High proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Negotiation Power:
  Proven track record of closing highly favorable supplier and freight carrier agreements.
• Analytical Thinking:
  Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills to read complex financial datasets and forecast price trends.
