* SUMMARY:

** The Maintenance Apprentice is responsible for assisting the maintenance department with repairing and maintaining the machinery, equipment, and facilities.
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
** include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Assist the maintenance techs engaged in installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance in the assigned area.
* Dismantle machinery or equipment using common hand, power, and industrial tools to examine parts for defects and repair or replacement.
* Lock out / tag out certification.
* Complete daily maintenance paperwork for assigned work orders/requests and checklists.
* Maintain clean and organized work area.
* Special projects/duties as assigned by maintenance supervisor or manager.
** SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
** This position will not have supervisory responsibility.
** EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
* ** Required**  + High school diploma or equivalent  + Basic tools to perform the above tasks  + Operational knowledge of common hand, power, and industrial tools
* ** Preferred**  + Experience in machine maintenance (as helper), building maintenance, preventative maintenance and/or basic electrical
