Responsibilities- Assist the Branch Manager in the daily operation of staff
- Prepare work schedule, assist with the bank balancing, staff meeting, customer care and concerns
- Assist in the delivery of quality customer service through personal contact with customers and prospects, and adherence to approved quality standards
- Evaluate new and existing customer relationships and recommend bank products and services to support their financial success
- Accountable for the achievement of monthly new account production as assigned by upper management
- Work closely with the Branch Manager to motivate staff in achieving retail and new account production
- Participate in an active sales environment that may require in-store aisle prospecting
- Attend business development calls, or other sales opportunities, with a member of management
- Manage branch operations and staff, in the absence of a manager
- Conduct training for new hires
- Provide bank services to a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish speaking population
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
- Complete other tasks as assigned by manager as needed to include, but not limited to, opening/closing branch
- Required to stand or walk for extended periods of time dependent upon branch location
- Operate a computer and other office machinery
- Schedules are prepared based on business need and subject to change at any time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- At least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalency
- Associate's degree in business/management or related degree preferred
- Minimum of one year management/supervisory experience
- Strong sales skills with the ability to effectively develop business opportunities
- Proven ability to establish and maintain sound relationships with existing and potential customers
- Excellent communication skills, leadership and organizational skills
- Extensive cash handling experience
- Experience working in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Banking experience preferred
- Familiarity with banking laws and regulations preferred
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must successfully pass background investigation according to company policy
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work effectively in a team environment
