The Licensed Practical Nurse for Outpatient Wound Care plays a critical role in delivering specialized nursing care to patients with acute and chronic wounds within an outpatient setting. The LPN is responsible for planning and providing care for patients with complicated wounds, pressure ulcers, and/or any patient who has a potential skin care problem to assist the patient in achieving a maximum level of wellness and independence.
The nurse collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and nutritionists to ensure holistic patient care. Additionally, the role involves educating patients and their families on wound care techniques and preventive measures to support recovery and reduce readmission rates. Ultimately, this position aims to improve patient outcomes through expert wound management and compassionate nursing care.

BLS and current LPN Licensure required

Experience:
Previous experience in wound healing role preferred
1. Must be able to report to work fit for duty and free of any adverse effects of illegal drugs, medical marijuana, prescription medication, and/or alcohol.
2. Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with other individuals.
Job responsibilities require a considerable amount of physical work. The individual will be required to assist with lifting and moving patients, pushing of carts, wheelchairs, and other equipment; and lifting of pushing. The individual must be able to bend over to perform certain duties. The individual must also be able to maneuver throughout the halls, stairways, and patient rooms in response to hospital emergencies.
Interpretation of environmental input requires visual and auditory skills. A significant amount of writing and computer entry is required.
