Weekend Registered Nurse- Crisis Stabilization Unit

Responsibilities

• Coordinating all activities regarding required nursing duties and responsibilities.
• Assisting the psychiatrist/physician during medication clinics.
• Monitoring client progress and problems between medication clinics and reporting relevant findings to the psychiatrist/physician.
• Counsel clients on the importance of following medication regimen and observe client’s response to medication.
• Complete reports, records, logs and other required data as required for client records.
• Conduct in-service training sessions for staff.
• Conducting intakes.
• Attending administrative and clinical staffing.
• Providing various forms of therapy (individual, group, family, marital) as appropriate to level of training.
• Receiving clinical supervision.
• Participating in consultation and education activities.
• Consulting with other staff members regarding clinical cases and issues.
• Other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

• Registered Nurse with verified degree and current license to practice nursing in Mississippi.
• Must maintain the license continuously throughout employment at Communicare.
• Must work effectively with clients suffering from psychiatric conditions, intellectual disabilities, and substance abuse and addiction. Experience in these fields preferred.
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team setting.
• Ability to accept supervision and work toward Communicare program goals.
• Valid Mississippi driver’s license and transportation, with insurable driving record and liability insurance.
• Acceptable criminal background check. Pass drug screen;
