Driver, Delivery, Courier
Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages, checking shipments for conformance to Fed Ex service features, covering all assigned routes within the station's service area, and performing related customer service functions. This includes the delivery, pickup or shuttle of dangerous goods packages that require a placarded vehicle. Performs other duties as assigned.
Sunday – Saturday with days off to be determined. Scheduled hours are between 4:30 AM and 11:00 PM. The winning candidate will have successful completion of certification.
Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or GED.
Minimum ExperienceSix (6) months of courier experience preferred.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of the assigned service area.
- Ability to lift and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lb with appropriate equipment or assistance.
- Good human‑relations and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptability, dependability and excellent courier methods.
- Understanding and adherence to federal motor carrier safety regulations.
- Successful completion of Fed Ex Express and regulatory/statutory background checks or security threat assessments.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- English language proficiency sufficient to understand traffic signs and communicate with traffic safety officials.
FMCSA covered safety‑sensitive position. Medical exam required. Subject to regulatory alcohol and drug testing, including testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine and opioids. Must obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and hazardous materials endorsement (HME) for the assigned vehicle type, and a clean driving record as outlined in policy. Neat appearance required due to customer contact.
Preferred QualificationsValid CDL (Class B minimum).
Pay$22.30 per hour (pay transparency).
