The roleAs a Vehicle Mechanic, you’ll be part of a highly skilled team supporting the maintenance and readiness of military and civilian vehicles used by our defence customers. From diagnostics to repairs, your expertise will ensure our fleet operates safely and efficiently making a direct impact on national defence and operational success.
This is a hands‑on, rewarding role where you’ll work with a variety of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment that values precision, safety, and continuous improvement—offering you the chance to grow your career in engineering while contributing to something bigger.
Day-to-day you’ll be:- Servicing, maintaining, repairing, and modifying military and civilian vehicles
- Collaborating with your team to ensure operational readiness
- Working to technical specifications and safety standards
- Diagnosing faults and inspecting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Carrying out equipment examinations to meet production requirements.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.
Please note that this position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.
The role is based onsite at Warminster and the set working times are Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm and Friday 7am to 12pm, totalling 37 hours per week. There is potential for overtime. A relocation package may be available, subject to eligibility.
Essential experience of the Vehicle Mechanic:- Experience working in a dealership or local garage
Previous experience in a similar role - Proficiency in hydraulics
- Strong team player with adaptability and rapport-building skills.
NVQ Level 3 in Service and Repair or equivalent qualification.
Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
