RSU 1 seeks an energetic and enthusiastic individual to teach Grade 3 at Phippsburg Elementary School. Phippsburg School is a small rural community. This K‑5 community provides a unique experience to work with a small class size and develop close relationships with students and families. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of literacy teaching and learning with beginning readers. Experience with Reveal Math, Fountas and Pinnell Guided Reading, Heggerty, UFLI, Responsive Classroom, and a variety of online teaching tools, such as iXL and Lexia is preferred.

They may also have experience with outdoor and experiential learning. The ability to create and maintain a classroom environment which supports and encourages learning is essential.
