This particular opportunity allows an individual the chance to become a member of an empowered team of professionals supporting the operation of AEGIS Weapon Systems at Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine. Primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate the Combat Systems Logistics supportability; receipt, shipping and changes of installed equipment made and report any deficiencies as necessary.
This position assists in ordering and tracking material and coordinates with various sources to ensure the material is provided to the ship and testing program as fast as possible.

Basic Qualifications:
• Knowledge of standard logistic practices and procedures and the use of Microsoft software programs, in particular, Excel and Word.
• Demonstrate the ability to coordinate the ordering and tracking of failed Combat System (CS) parts, document and report configuration and logistics changes, and coordinate the timely delivery of initial repair parts through various vendors. Expediting replacements for deficient or failed parts to avoid work stoppages to support uninterrupted CS testing.
• Candidate will coordinate the packing and shipping of retrograde material, along with performing material receipt inspection of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and ensuring logistic discrepancies are documented utilizing the appropriate waterfront processes.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance. Candidates must be able to work in a multi-corporate team environment and possess strong communication skills. Candidates will be subject to drug screening as per company policy.
• Ability to travel in support of AEGIS availability conducted at locations outside Bath (25%-35%). Position requires frequent work in shipyard industrial environments as well as on naval vessels, both underway and in port. Physical ability to traverse steep ladders and stairs, as well as working in confined spaces, is a requirement. Desired

Able to process requisition orders. Maintain databases, using EXCEL and other programs to track, analyze and identify any material that has been cannibalized, missing, or late in delivery to avoid impact to testing schedule for the AEGIS Weapon System. Knowledge of WEDOC processes and procedures. Knowledge of SUPSHIP Bath and BIW Materials handling and material control procedures. Knowledge of and ability to utilize the BIW INCO programs.
Handle disposition of Milstrip consumable or non-repairable failed assets. Maintain sea trial spares inventory and stock allowances. Perform non-routine and moderately complex work assignments. Security Clearance Statement:
